The Summit is reopening on October 31st & we will be resuming our normal services — 8:45 & 11am — on both sides of the street! We hope to see you all this Sunday to worship our King ✨

The answer to all the wrong we see in our nation is RIGHTeousness! We must return to doing what is right in this land, right as revealed in the standard of righteousness which is the Word of God!

Sadly, there are times when we Christians are persecuted for self-righteousness’ sake. We at times act in judgmental ways toward others, especially toward those outside the faith, and all this does is cause them to resent us even more. When we have an attitude that comes across as “I’m holier than thou,” or “I’m better than thou,” the world loathes us all the more. Make sure that if you’re persecuted, it is “for righteousness sake,” for doing what is right as revealed in Scripture. I agree with Kent Hughes who wrote, “Christians are often persecuted, not for their Christianity, but for their lack of it. Sometimes they simply have unpleasant personalities. They are rude, insensitive, thoughtless–piously obnoxious. Some are rejected because they are discerned as proud and judgmental. Others are disliked because they are lazy and irresponsible. Either arrogance or incompetence mixed with piety is sure to bring rejection.” A big AMEN to that! - Scott Price
