The nursery/pre-school staff of Fellowship Chapel believes that we have the opportunity to plant seeds of God’s love to each child in our care. Our goal is to provide an environment where children can grow spiritually, socially, and mentally. We hope that every member and regular attendee will give of their time to participate in this Ministry in some capacity. Our nursery and pre-school program does more than provide a baby sitting service. We believe that it is possible to share the love of Christ with a child from their earliest days. We do this by: • Praying with and over children • Teaching children to share • Helping children understand forgiveness • Demonstrating God’s love through interaction and gentle correction • Reading and singing God’s Word.

 

 

 

What is Awana?

 

Awana is an international, Bible-centered children’s and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs. The goal of Awanas is to reach children and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Today, more than 10,400 churches in the United States run Awana including Fellowship Chapel. There are clubs in all 50 states. Awana can also be found in 3,200 churches in 109 other countries and six continents.

 

Little Treble Makers” is our “pre-school” choir for ages 4 thru kindergarten. This lively bunch meets each Wednesday during the school year for a fun time of music, activities and snacks. They also sing in a worship service once in the fall and spring.

 

“Young Musicians” Children’s Choir is for grades 1 thru 4. This choir meets during the school year and prepares a musical for Christmas and a musical for Spring. We also plan occasional outings to area nursing homes, or to local businesses to sing. Very basic music skills are taught in a fun way. Most importantly, we teach the children that our singing is a great way to thank and praise Jesus for all He has done for us!

 

Our Children’s Sunday school has experienced and caring teachers and assistants, as well as solid, graded curriculum. We also offer a memorization program, which challenges children to memorize Scripture.
Sunday School time is 10:00-10:50 am. Children age 4 through 6th grade in graded classes.

 

J.A.M. – “Jesus And Me” is a creative worship time for all 5th and 6th graders. It’s fast, fun and teaches about our faith. JAM meets each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.

PraiseKids – meet each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m during the summer months. PraiseKids does just what the name says…it teaches Kids to praise!!

VBS – What would summer be without Vacation Bible School? Each year, we invite children from the entire area to join us for a great week of learning, growing and fun.
